| I have been reading this magazine for a number of years. It is a classic hunting and fishing magazine with interesting articles that are filled with useful information. Patrick McManus's "Last Laugh" is alone easily worth the cover price. If you haven't read Pat, you need to. |

| If you've never heard of Pat, you are really missing out. He has a host of books which are a refinement of his past humor articles. (He used to write for "Field & Stream" and now writes for Outdoor Life.) If you can't wait for him to publish his stories in book form, subscribe to this magazine. Otherwise the rest of the magazine's stories while interesting get repetative. How many stories of "the buck walked through the woods like crackling thunder" can you take. I suppose if you are a hunter, and all the ones I know tell these tales, you'll never get tired of reading about others great hunting trips. |
